For those of you who've been there:
Any advice about the best place for 4 people to stay on a studentish budget? Hotels? Hostels?
Is Oahu/Waikiki beach the place to be? Should we go see other islands?
What things to do are in your top five?

Waikiki is so expensive to stay for a hotel, though you can get deals occasionally. The beaches are nice and honolulu is cool for a day or so but Laie on the North shore is beautiful. They import the sand from the north shore to Waikiki. There aren't as many tourists and the shave ice is amazing. You should just bunk with some ward members or something.
